Dear Texas Higher Educators and Higher Education Employees:

For more than a quarter century, faculty and higher education employees at 100 college and university campuses throughout Texas have chosen to come together in a network of strong TFA local chapters to secure higher education employee rights by:

• Demanding proper funding for public education at all levels
• Participating in higher education governance bodies
• Fighting grievances and filing lawsuits*
• Defending Academic Freedom – the cornerstone of all education
• Lobbying the state legislature and local governmental bodies
• Supporting education-friendly political candidates
• Joining in alliances and coalitions with students, unions and other progressive organizations
• Researching and speaking up to improve the quality of higher education for ALL Texans
